Plants were inoculated with Pst/AvrRpm1 or a corresponding mock control treatment and metabolites were analyzed by GC-MS in the soluble fractions of cell wall extracts taken at 2 dpi. Data represent the average abundance normalized to sample dry weight and relative to mock-treated Col-0 wt plants from three biologically independent replicates ± SD. Values in bold are significantly different from mock-treated Col-0 wt (two-way ANOVA with Bonferroni’s multiple comparison test or False Discovery Rate (FDR) with two-stage linear step-up procedure of Benjamini, Krieger and Yekutieli; P=<0.05, p-values are listed in Supplementary Table 3 ).
