The conjugation rates of GLYATL1 were tested with varying phenylacetyl-CoA (green) and isovaleryl-CoA (pink) concentrations using 20 mM glutamine. The reaction rate correlates strongly with phenylacetyl-CoA concentration. Similar to GLYAT however, the isovaleryl-CoA conjugation rate appears largely insensitive to concentrations below 500 µM. Error bars indicate the mean ± standard deviation for triplicate assays.
