In Tn2009, a macrolide efflux genetic assembly (MEGA) that contained mefE was inserted between ORF6 and ORF9 of Tn916. Tn6002 had an ermB-containing cassette that was integrated with ORF20 of Tn916, and mefE was not identified. The reference sequence of Tn916 was submitted as NCBI reference sequence U09422.1.
