An overview of the parameters presented in this review. Section 2 covers the different techniques for creating fluid flow. In Section 3 the different parameters which are affected by fluid flow are explored, followed by the parameters which are independent of the fluid flow in Section 4. Finally the limitations of current techniques and future directions will be discussed in Section 5.
