UCH-L1 expression boosts signaling through the Akt. UCH-L1 overexpression may regulate Akt signaling by inhibiting PHLLP1 or PI3K, resulting in increased MAPK signaling, which participates in progression of lymphoma and prostate and gastric cancer.
