Purified His-ΔMGT (5 μg) was incubated with either the solvent dimethyl sulfonate (lane 1) or the linker disuccinimidyl suberate (lane 2) for 2 h at 4°C as described in the text. The samples were then subjected to separation by SDS-PAGE followed by Coomassie blue staining. Cross-linked complexes are indicated by arrows.
