Aged male 5xFAD mice show mild spatial reference memory deficits in the probe trial. 3- and 7-month-old 5xFAD (b,e) mice and WT animals (a,d,g) showed a clear preference for the target quadrant. In contrast, 12-month-old 5xFAD mice demonstrated no clear preference for the target quadrant (h). No difference in swimming speed between 5xFAD and WT mice (c,f,i).
