Steady-state localization of wild-type human CD63 and the GYEVI construct in transiently transfected pearl cells. Pearl cells were transiently transfected with ΔpMEP containing cDNA encoding either wild-type CD63 (A and B) or the GYEVI construct (C and D). The transfected cells were treated with 3 μM CdCl2 to induce protein expression and then double labeled, for indirect immunofluorescence localization, with a mouse mAb to CD63 (A and D) and a rat mAb to endogenous mouse LAMP-1 (B and E).
