Total Examined Patients: SCD patients who had a DFE during the study period. Retinopathy+: SCD patients with a previous diagnosis of retinopathy by a Montefiore ophthalmologist with follow-up DFE during the study period. Retinopathy−: SCD patients without a previous diagnosis of retinopathy with screening DFE during the study period. * p-value was obtained by two-tailed Welch’s t-test.
