Table 1.

WWTPs monitored in this study including relative coverage corresponding to total population within the two federal states Vorarlberg and Salzburg, and the number of inhabitants connected to each sewage system. Calculated populations across all sampling points per WWTPs are stated as theoretical inhabitants after NH4-N normalization. Additionally, the ratio between theoretical and registered inhabitants was calculated in %.
