Molecular mechanisms related to the antioxidant effect of LBPs. LBPs play antioxidant roles by directly or indirectly eliminating free radicals. Indirect ways of scavenging free radicals include regulating related genes, increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes, mitochondrial pathway, and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.
