Mechanistic link between β1ADR dysfunction, and increased hydrogen peroxide and attenuated nitric oxide and glutathione concentration in aging. β1ADR dilation to norepinephrine (10−4 M) negatively correlates with hydrogen peroxide, but not superoxide or peroxynitrite, while positively correlating with nitric oxide and glutathione MFI (a–e). Significance determined as p < 0.05 with linear regression analysis.
