NO2-LA isomers are partial agonists of PPARγ. The effect of adding varying concentrations (0–5 µM) of NO2-LA isomers on induction of PPARγ-dependent reporter gene expression by fixed concentrations (0 or 0.1 µM) of rosiglitazone (RSG) was determined as described in Experimental Procedures and the legends of Figures 3 and 4. The concentrations of NO2-LA [9/10-NO2-LA (A), 12-NO2-LA (B), and 13-NO2-LA (C)] and rosiglitazone used in these inductions are shown under each panel. Relative induction values are derived from fold inductions normalized to 0.1 µM rosiglitazone alone (100%) with no ligand controls defined as 0%. Values are the means of 6–18 determinations ± one standard error of the mean.
