Un-adjusted within groups changes (before, T0 vs. after intervention, T1) are given as median (interquartile range). Intra-groups analysis (T0 vs. T1) used a paired-sample Wilcoxon signed-rank test or paired-samples t test to determine the significance of differences. Intergroup analysis (InsP6 diet vs, non-InsP6 diet) used analysis of covariances and comparison between groups after adjusting for baseline levels to determine the significance of differences. After Bonferroni correction, the statistical threshold was adjusted to P<0.05/24 = 0.002.
