For 275 patients in the control group, data were censored at the date they received their vaccine before 120 days. Artificial censoring was taken into account in survival analyses by inverse probability of censoring weighting methods. In this analysis, time dependent bias was handled by considering the date of vaccination as baseline for patients who were vaccinated, and the vaccination date of the matched patient as baseline for unvaccinated controls. Thus, patients in the vaccinated group who achieved symptom remission before vaccination were excluded
