Combined chemical shift perturbation (Δδ) of the backbone 15N and 1HN resonances of PTB-34 upon binding of RNA. The absolute values of 15N and 1HN chemical shift changes are combined using this equation: Δδ(15N + 1HN) = │Δδ 15N│/4.69 + │Δδ 1HN│. The correction factor for 15N chemical shift changes is calculated as the ratio of the spectral width of the 15N versus that of the 1H (46,47). The 0.1 p.p.m. threshold is indicated by a horizontal line.
