Indications
 Recurrent anterior instability
 Glenoid bone loss greater than 15%
 Glenoid bone loss less than 15% with
  • Concurrent Hill–Sachs lesion or

  • Subacute/chronic fracture fragment or

  • Osteolysis near rim fracture or

  • High-consequence profession (mountain climber, firefighter, police officer, etc.)

Contraindications
 Patients 50 years or older with irreparable rotator cuff tear (6)
 Voluntary anterior dislocators/subluxators (6)
 Uncontrolled epilepsy (6)
 Posterior inferior instability (6)
Risks
 Hematoma formation
 Recurrence of instability
 Infection
 Loss of external rotation
 Bone block nonunion, fracture, resorption
