FIGURE 1

Simulation of acute high-altitude hypoxia injury rat model designed and evaluated in vivo. (A) Experimental design of simulated acute hypobaric hypoxia injury in Sprague Dawley rats. (B) Heart rate and blood pressure measurements (n = 6, mean ± SEM). # p < 0.05 and ## p < 0.01 compared to the plain normoxia group; * p < 0.05 and ** p < 0.01 compared to the high-altitude hypoxia with saline group. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA analysis of variance with Tukey’s post-tests. H-25, H-50, H-100, H-200, H-400, indicate different doses of meldonium under hypoxia, respectively, and H-ACZ indicates the administration of acetazolamide under hypoxia.
