Queens were collected from known colonies (indicated by colony ID or by C) and from the mating aggregation (indicated by R). Note that all X,X heterozygotes were collected from the mating aggregation. Queens from colonies were either 4,4 or X,X homozygotes. At present, the sample size is too small to detect a significant association between X,X genotype and source of sample (G = 2.7, d.f. = 1, P = 0.1).
