Southern blot analysis of hemophilia A and normal canine genomic DNA probed with ch8. After restriction with various enzymes or combinations of enzymes chosen to cut in exon 22 of the factor VIII gene and in ch8, the Southern blot probed with ch8 shows no difference in restriction fragment size between hemophilia A and normal dog DNA fragments. The bands obtained are larger than would be expected if exon 22 and ch8 were contiguous in genomic DNA.
