This graph shows the distribution of the ratios of the intensity measurements for all six possible comparisons from the four repetitions of expression profiling analysis of the KG-1 myeloid leukemia cell line. The genes/ESTs with intensity readings below 150 in all four experiments were filtered out, because low-intensity readings are less accurate. All of the comparison values among the four experiments are included and were calculated by Affymetrix software. The y-axis indicates the total number of intensity comparisons. Therefore, each gene or EST is represented on the y-axis six times, because six separate comparisons were made among the four experiments. The x-axis represents the log ratio of the intensity measurements between two samples. Importantly, the log ratio of the intensity measurements in 97.5% of the observations falls within +/–1.0, indicating excellent reproducibility.
