Independent verification of GeneChip expression quantification with the TaqMan real-time PCR assay. Seven genes were analyzed for independent verification. Transcript levels were quantified for six genes that had an increase in expression in p53 +/+ cells (TP53, HLA-E, CAPL, RGS2, ICERelII, CSPG2) and one gene that had a decrease in expression in p53 +/+ cells (RTP). Values were normalized to the 18S rRNA endogenous control. Results for the GeneChip assay (Li–Wong estimates, ref. 1) are shown on the y axis (LWF, Li–Wong "full" model estimates) and those for the TaqMan assay on the x axis.
