Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) of serum amyloid A (SAA)2.2 at 4ºC reveals a sharp and symmetric peak that elutes a little faster than BSA. These data are consistent with a homogenous hexameric SAA2.2 structure at 4ºC. The SEC experiment was carried out on a Superdex 200HR column (Amersham Pharmacia) at 4ºC. Solid and dotted lines represent the SAA2.2 and BSA peaks, respectively. The protein concentration used was 0.54 mg/ml.
