Northern blot analysis of clone se2-5. The product of an RT-PCR using specific primers for se2-5 and the isolated se2-5 plasmid as a template was employed for generating a radioactive probe. Arrowheads indicate label of 28s and 18s rRNA for size approximation. Normal tissues: lane 1, brain; lane 2, heart; lane 3, kidney; lane 4, liver; lane 5, lung; lane 6, colon; lane 7, small intestine; lane 8, spleen; lane 9, thymus; lane 10, bone marrow; lane 11, stomach; lane 12, trachea; lane 13, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs); and lane 14, testis. Cell lines: lane 15, HH; lane 16, MyLa; lane 17, SeAx; and lane 18, PBMCs from CTCL patient. Up to three bands (closed arrows) are visible in various RNAs (small and big open arrows). Out of the tested cell lines, SeAx showed a clear signal, but restricted to the smallest band, whereas the larger bands are missing.
