PSI-BLAST
searches were performed by using the peptide sequences from the PTB domain of human IRS-1 (amino acids 160262) as query with Expect at 50, Inclusion Threshold at 0.02, and all other parameters at default values. Conserved Domain searches were then performed by using the identified partial sequences to evaluate their similarity to consensus IRS-1-related PTB domain sequences. Similarity scores and the number of amino acids exhibiting homology to PTB domains (length) for proteins found to have relevance to integrin function are presented. h, Human; dr, Drosophila.
