The reporter RNA 3GFP3 was derived from BMV RNA3 (1), but the native BMV coding sequence was replaced with GFP. GFP production in the presence of each of the recombinant proteins was detected by Western blot analysis. (B) Kd values for Pus4 and CP binding to RNA SLD4. Pus4 and CP were printed on glass slides and incubated with increasing concentrations of SLD4. The values were calculated by double-reciprocal plot (1/[RNA]total versus 1/F532) analysis.
