IMP concentration in blood after reperfusion. After ischemia-reperfusion, IMP concentrations in blood were measured by HPLC. Briefly, blood samples were collected from sham and ischemia-reperfusion mice by cardiac puncture and were homogenized. The concentration of IMP in the extracts was measured by an HPLC system (see Materials and Methods) and expressed as nmol/ml (open bars). IMP levels in lung are expressed as nmol/g wet weight (solid bar). The IMP levels of blood from sham and ischemia-reperfusion mice were lower than those of lung tissues from the same group of mice.
