Striatal tyrosine hydroxylase expression as visualized by in situ hybridization using a ³⁵S-labeled human tyrosine hydroxylase 1 (hTH1)-specific antisense oligonucleotide 2.5 weeks after injection of AdPGK•tet•hTH1 in an untreated animal (A) or a dox-treated animal (B). The oligonucleotide sequence was 5¢-TgCCTgCTTggCgTCCAgCTCAgACA-3¢. Hybridization procedures were as previously described [Lanièce, P., Le Hir, H., Bodeau-Péan, S., Charon, Y., Valentin, L., Thermes, C., Mallet, J. & Dumas, S. (1996) J. Neurochem. 66, 1819-1825].
