QuickTime VideoMovie 2.
Conversion of VF to ventricular tachycardia (VT). The drug bretylium tends to flatten cardiac restitution curves (see main paper). When bretylium was added to the perfusate, it dramatically prevented the induction of VF, and it also converted existing VF either to VT or to quiescent excitable tissue. Shown here is an episode of stable VT, converted from VF by the drug. Image properties are the same as those for VF. Note the single spiral wave rotating stably and periodically in the tissue.
