Video 3
Myofibroblasts deform micropatterned elastic substrates. A GFP-paxillin-transfected myofibroblast was cultured for 5 d on an elastic substrate exhibiting a regular lattice of fluorescent dots (red). After treatment with cytochalasin D at the beginning of the movie, the cell completely relaxes, which is indicated by dot displacement, and FAs (green) are disassembled. Frames were recorded every 2 min for 30 min.
