Surface-spread Sycp2^-/- spermatocytes were immunostained with the following two polyclonal antibodies: guinea pig anti-SYCP2 serum (A, green) and rabbit anti-SYCP2 serum 493 (B, red; Offenberg et al., 1998). Both antibodies show the same localization pattern of SYCP2t (C, merge).
