Figure S2. Endogenous GIT1 distribution in pxl^-/- MEFs and wild-type MEFs. pxl^-/- MEFs and WT MEFs were immunostained for endogenous GIT1 and vinculin and visualized using TIRF. GIT1 showed a diffuse localization in pxl^-/- MEFs that exhibited large vinculin-containing adhesions. By contrast, GIT1 localized to small adhesions near the cell periphery in WT MEFs (arrows), which also contained vinculin, suggesting that paxillin targets GIT1 to small adhesions near the leading edge.
