Figure S5. High levels of MARCH5H43W expression lead to perinuclear clustering and dramatic enlargement of Drp1 foci. (A) HeLa cells transfected with MARCH5 H43W-YFP (green) were immunostained for Drp1 (red) and analyzed by confocal microscopy. Projected series of confocal z-sections obtained with the interval of 0.25 µm are shown. Cell expressing relatively high level of MARCH5H43W-YFP is shown. Fis1 and Drp1K38A do not localize to MARCH5 mutant foci. (B) Cells cotransfected with MARCH5H43W-YFP (green) and Myc-Fis1 (red) were immunostained with anti-Myc antibodies and analyzed by confocal microscopy. (C) Cells cotransfected with MARCH5H43W-YFP (green) and Drp1K38A (red) were immunostained and analyzed by confocal microscopy.
