The behavior of MTs in a WT third instar larval neuroblast. This video relates to Fig. 5 A. In this NB, both centrosomes are nucleating prominent astral arrays by the time of NEB. The spindle becomes positioned slightly asymmetrically in the cell during metaphase, and the cell ultimately divides asymmetrically. Note how the aster that remains in the large NB becomes greatly enlarged, whereas the aster in the smaller GMC rapidly disappears. Images are maximum intensity projections of z stacks that were acquired every 25 s and are displayed at 20 fps.
