Figure S2. Oxygen-depleted conditions still allow respiration activity and growth. Wild-type cells and Δcyc1/Δcyc7 double deletion mutants were streaked onto YP plates containing 2% glycerol. The plates were incubated at 30°C for the times indicated under anaerobic, oxygen-depleted or -saturated conditions. Note that under oxygen-depleted conditions, wild-type cells were able to grow, although with reduced rates compared with oxygen-saturated conditions. No growth was observed under anaerobic conditions.
