MAPCs generate CD41+ megakaryocytes, CD11c/MHC-II+ dendritic cells, and Nk1.1+ natural killer cells. 106 GFP+ MAPCs were transplanted in sublethally irradiated NOD-SCID mice and treated with anti-asialoGM1 antibodies 4 h before transplantation and on days +11 and +22. FACS analysis of the spleen of one NOD-SCID mouse (CD45.1+) at 2 mo after transplantation shows the presence of GFP+ MHC-II+/CD11c+/CD8α+ dendritic cells, CD41+megakaryocytes, and Nk1.1 natural killer cells.
