Figure S1. Fluorescence in situ hybridization. Chromosomes were hybridized with two different BACs. BAC210N13 was linked to an FITC fluorochrome (green) for the localization of 12q12, which includes the IRAK4 locus. BAC23J16 was linked to a Rhoda fluorochrome (red) for the localization of 12q13.1 and to control for the presence of two chromosomes 12. In P2 (top) and P7 (bottom), fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis revealed two red signals for BAC23J16, indicating the presence of two chromosomes 12 in both patients. In P2, a single green signal indicated the absence of 12q12, which includes the IRAK4 locus.
