Figure S4. Coculture of KS cells with mature endothelial cells has no effect on Akt activation within KS cells. KS cells were cocultured with HUVECs for 18 h in a 1:10 (HUVEC/KS cell) ratio. KS cells were repurified by flow cytometry using an antibody against CD31, which reacts with HUVECs but not with KS cells. (A) Levels of phosphorylated Akt (Ser473) in KS cells directly cocultured with HUVECs (KS + HUVEC) were unchanged compared with levels of phosphorylated Akt in KS cells alone (KS). (B) Levels of total Akt in KS cells directly cocultured with HUVECs (KS + HUVEC) were unchanged compared with levels of total Akt in KS cells alone (KS).
