Distinct [Ca²⁺]_i waves and local Ca²⁺ release events in perivascular astrocytic processes and endfeet after EFS. This video shows the laser-scanning confocal [Ca²⁺]_i image recording from a fluo-5F loaded cortical brain slice presented in Fig. 4 A. The period of EFS within the experiment is indicated by the presence of the EFS label in the video. The brief red flash corresponds to the onset of EFS and was generated by an LED within the confocal scan head. The acquisition rate was 56 frames/s.
