Figure S3. Inhibition of phosphotyrosine phosphatases with pervanadate releases the inhibition of VEGFR-2 tyrosine phosphorylation in VEC-positive endothelial cells.

Confluent VEC-null and VEC-positive cells were treated with pervanadate (PV; from 100 &microM vanadate and 200 &microM hydrogen peroxide) for 7 min, the last 5 of which were in the presence of VEGF (80 ng/ml) as indicated. VEC-positive cells challenged with VEGF in the presence of PV presented a level of phosphotyrosine in VEGFR-2 higher than VEC null. IP, immunoprecipitation; IB, immunoblot; {alpha}VEGFR-2, antibody to VEGFR-2; {alpha}phosphoTyr, antibody to phosphotyrosine.
