Figure S3. Inhibition of phosphotyrosine phosphatases with pervanadate releases the inhibition of VEGFR-2 tyrosine phosphorylation in VEC-positive endothelial cells.
Confluent VEC-null and VEC-positive cells were treated with pervanadate (PV; from 100 µM vanadate and 200 µM hydrogen peroxide) for 7 min, the last 5 of which were in the presence of VEGF (80 ng/ml) as indicated. VEC-positive cells challenged with VEGF in the presence of PV presented a level of phosphotyrosine in VEGFR-2 higher than VEC null.
