Figure S3. The effect of VAMP2 and 7 knockdowns on insulin and osmotic shock–stimulated glucose uptake. Fully differentiated 3T3L1 adipocytes were transfected with a random siRNA and VAMP2- and 7-specific siRNA. 72 h later, the cells were either left untreated, stimulated with 100 nM insulin, or stimulated with 600 mM sorbitol for 30 min. The specific uptake of [³H]2-deoxyglucose was determined as described in Materials and methods. These data are from a single experiment performed in triplicate.
