The ZNF127/Zfp127 loci have sequence characteristics suggesting the presence of MARs. Unlike the SNURF-SNRPN/Snurf-Snrpn loci, the (A+T) content is higher and motif density lower overall. The human and mouse ZNF127/Zfp127 loci resemble each other much more from this point of view than either resembles the SNURF-SNRPN/Snurf-Snrpn loci.
