MβCD treatment of PC3 cells decreased the membrane dynamics. The two videos recorded and replayed at 100 ms correspond to MβCD-treated (right) or to control (left) cells. CD9 was labeled with Atto647N-conjugated Fab fragments with 1 pixel corresponding to 160 nm. 50% decrease of the membrane Chl content led to a threefold reduction of the mean value of CD9 ADC that can easily be observed by eye. This reduction of the ADC mean value partly resulted from an increase in the number of confined trajectories.
