SC in control cultures show the typical elongated morphology. Several examples of myelinating SC (asterisks) are also evident. In contrast, SC in myosin II–inhibited cultures display round nuclei (arrowheads) and failed to elongate along the axons and myelinate. Bars, 25 µm.
