Fig. S1. CNM67-GFP and SPC42-GFP support normal growth. Cells homozygous for the indicated allele were streaked onto a YPD plate and allowed to grow for two days. Similar growth rates are indicated by the comparable colony size of all the strains.
Movie 1. The connection is lost between the MOP and the prospore membrane in an ady4Δ. The complete tomogram of the MOP depicted in Fig. 7A,C. The movie presents a Meiosis II spindle pole body and a prospore membrane from a wild-type cell. The graphic overlay delineates the position of elements shown in the 3D reconstruction. MOP (dark blue), central plaque (light blue), prospore membrane (purple). Scale bar=50 nm.
Movie 2. The connection is lost between the MOP and the prospore membrane in an ady4Δ. The complete 3D reconstruction of the MOP depicted in Figure 7E. The movie presents the model of a Meiosis II spindle pole body and associated prospore membrane from a wild-type cell. The prospore membrane is directly adjacent to the surface of the MOP. The Meiosis II spindle pole body and prospore membrane are assigned the same colors as in Movie 1. Scale bar=50 nm.
Movie 3. The connection is lost between the MOP and the prospore membrane in an ady4Δ. The complete tomogram of the MOP from an ady4Δ cell depicted in Fig. 7B, D. The graphic overlay delineates the position of elements shown in the 3D reconstruction. The Meiosis II spindle pole body and prospore membrane are assigned the same colors as in Movie 1. Scale bar=50 nm.
Movie 4. The connection is lost between the MOP and the prospore membrane in an ady4Δ. The complete 3D reconstruction of the MOP depicted in Fig. 7F. The movie presents a model of a Meiosis II spindle pole body and a prospore membrane from an ady4Δ cell. The arrow indicates the area where the connection between the prospore membrane and the MOP is lost. The Meiosis II spindle pole body and prospore membrane are assigned the same colors as in Movie 1. Scale bar=50 nm.
Movie 5. The connection is lost between the MOP and the prospore membrane in an ady4Δ. Tomogram of an intact MOP with a small associated prospore membrane from an ady4Δ cell. The graphic overlay delineates the position of elements shown in the 3D reconstruction. The Meiosis II spindle pole body and prospore membrane are assigned the same colors as in Movie 1. Scale bar=50 nm.
Movie 6. The connection is lost between the MOP and the prospore membrane in an ady4Δ. 3D reconstruction from the tomogram shown in supplementary movie 5. The arrow indicates the area where the connection between the prospore membrane and the MOP is lost. The Meiosis II spindle pole body and prospore membrane are assigned the same colors as in Movie 1. Scale bar=50 nm.
