The DAT knockdown mice have normal home cage activity. Wild-type and mutant mice were continuously monitored for their home cage activity for 24 h. Overall motor activity was represented by total counts registered by the Stoelting Activity Meter within every 15-min sampling period. For both genotypes and sexes, the basal activity at night is significantly higher (P = 0.0001). No genotype difference was found (P = 0.42 for genotype difference; P = 0.27 for genotype ´ daynight interaction).
