. Voltammetric evaluation of release-regulating autoreceptors. The effect of various concentrations of quinpirole on electrically stimulated dopamine release was measured in striatal slices (n = 4 for wild type and n = 2 for knockdown). Peak concentrations of dopamine released by four separate electrical stimulations in the absence of drug were averaged and used as 100% values. Confirmation that the response was mediated by dopamine receptors was obtained by reversal of the inhibition with sulpiride. Error bar represents SEM.
