Correction to the Supporting Information (SI)
The authors note that the following components of Dataset S2 appeared incorrectly.
The label “Stenholm 2009” should instead appear as “Stenholm 2008”.
The Synott 2009 data was presented with phages as rows and bacteria as columns. The data is now presented with bacteria as rows and phages as columns.
The Wang 2008 data included one row in which no data (N.D.) was available (row 16 of 18 in the original dataset). The N.D. row was reported in the SI Appendix as ‘0’s, implying “no interaction”. This matrix, with or without the N.D. row, does not have significant levels of modularity or nestedness—both of these cases were tested in the article. The Wang 2008 data has been corrected.
These errors do not affect the conclusions of the article. Below is a link to the corrected SI.
