DNA sequence of the junction site between the kanamycin resistance gene nptII and the loxP site of the reporter plasmid pZL184 after Cre-mediated recombination of typical recombinant. Sequence shown is from the site (CCCCTC) derived from ligation of ends generated by SmaI and Ecl136II, respectively, and was obtained by using primer 5'-CAATAGCAGCCAGTCCCTTC-3', which anneals to base pair 263 to base pair 282 on the nptII gene. The translational initial codon ATG is underlined and the loxP site is italicized. RBS, ribosome binding site; arrow, the start site of the NptII protein.
