The series of contour plots of microtubule cross-sections (2.5 Å thick) observed from the plus end. Both GMPCPP (left) and GDP-taxol (right) microtubules are presented with a 10-Å resolution cutoff for the fair comparison between two maps. The contour level of the outermost green shell is adjusted at 1.4 σ for both maps.
